The short version
Gimme Tourneys runs golf tournaments. We keep the things a tournament needs — who played, what they scored, who won — and little else. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
You can score a round without an account at all. An account exists so your record follows you between events.
What we collect
If you never create an account
Your device remembers which player you are in a tournament so you don't have to pick your name again. That stays on your phone. Scores you enter are stored with the tournament, because the rest of the group needs them.
If you create an account
- Email address — to sign you in and to link you to events you were invited to.
- Name — shown to the other people in your tournaments.
- Handicap index and home club — optional, and only if you enter them.
- Your results — matches, points, skins and cups, which make up your record.
- Apple sign-in — if you use it, Apple sends us an identifier and, on the first sign-in, your name and an email address. If you choose to hide your email, Apple gives us a relay address and we never see the real one.
Notifications
If you turn on notifications, we store a push token for your device so we can tell you when a match is won or a skin is taken. Turning notifications off removes it.
What we don't collect
No location, no contacts, no photos, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party analytics or tracking.
Who can see it
People in your tournament see your name, your handicap for that event, and your scores — that is what a tournament is. A club you belong to sees your results in that club's events. Anyone with a tournament link can follow along as a spectator.
Your email address is not shown to other players. We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it except with the services below that run the app.
Services we use
- Supabase — database, sign-in and file storage.
- Vercel — hosting for this website.
- Expo — delivers push notifications to your device.
- Stripe — payment processing, if you pay for a plan. Card details go to Stripe, never to us.
- Resend — sends email such as invitations.
Deleting your account
In the app, open Profile → your details → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and profile. It cannot be undone.
Scores you entered stay with the tournament, because they belong to everyone who played in it — but they stop being connected to you, and your record goes with your account. If you signed in with Apple, you can also remove this app under Settings → your name → Sign in with Apple on your device.
You can also email hello@gimmetourneys.golf and ask us to delete it for you, or to send you a copy of what we hold.
Keeping it
We keep your account until you delete it. Tournament results are kept as part of the event's history so a club or group can look back at past years.
Children
Gimme Tourneys isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If a child has created an account, email us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
