Refund policy

Last updated October 4, 2026

The short version: if something went wrong on our side, we'll put it right. Email hello@gimmetourneys.golf with the event name and the email you paid with.

One event ($35)

  • Before the event goes live: a full refund, no questions asked. The event goes back to the free plan.
  • After it goes live: no refund, because the event has used what it paid for.
  • If the event can't be played (weather, the course cancels) and you haven't entered any scores, ask us within 30 days and we'll refund it or move the plan to the rescheduled event.

Commissioner plan ($99 a year)

  • Within 14 days of paying, if you haven't taken an event live on the plan, a full refund.
  • After that, cancel any time and the plan runs to the end of the year you've paid for. We don't refund part of a year.
  • Renewals: we'll email you before the plan renews. If you forgot to cancel and haven't used it since it renewed, ask within 14 days of the renewal for a full refund.

When it’s our fault

If Gimme Tourneys was down or broken for a meaningful part of your event and it affected the result, tell us within 30 days. We'll refund the event, or the matching share of a Commissioner plan, whatever the rules above say.

Open Cup entries

Open Cup entries follow the entry policy every golfer accepts when signing up:

  • More than 21 days before the Open Cup: withdraw for a full refund.
  • 21 days or fewer before: no refund, but you can pass your spot to a friend who meets the handicap limit.
  • No-show without notice: a $100 charge, and you can't enter for the rest of the season.
  • If the Open Cup is cancelled by the host or by us, every entry is refunded in full.

The full rules are on the Open Cup entry policy.

Entry fees collected by organisers

Many groups and clubs collect entry fees themselves (by e-transfer, cash or at the pro shop) and use Gimme Tourneys to track who has paid. That money never passes through us, so refunds of it are between you and the organiser.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe. They usually show up in 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
